These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the supply of the DRYVR car buying and reselling mentorship service ("the Service") to you ("the Customer"). Please read them carefully before purchasing. By paying the DRYVR fee you agree to these Terms.
DRAFT FOR REVIEW: These Terms must be reviewed and completed by a qualified UK solicitor before the Service is offered to the public.
1. Who we are
The Service is provided by:
- Business name: [TO BE COMPLETED]
- Registered address: [TO BE COMPLETED]
- Company number: [TO BE COMPLETED]
- VAT number: [TO BE COMPLETED]
- Contact email: support@dryvr.example
2. The Service and what it includes
DRYVR provides education, facilitated access and practical one-to-one support to help the Customer complete their first vehicle purchase, preparation and resale. The Service includes guidance on vehicle selection, valuation, buying, preparation planning, pricing, listing and selling assistance for the first transaction, subject to these Terms and the detailed service description provided at onboarding.
The Service is advisory and educational. DRYVR does not act as a broker, dealer or agent on the Customer's behalf, does not take custody of the Customer's funds beyond the fee described below, and does not make purchasing decisions for the Customer.
3. The financial commitment
The Customer should expect to have approximately £1,000 available to begin. This total consists of two clearly separate elements:
- The DRYVR fee — £500. A single, one-off payment for the Service. This is the only amount collected by DRYVR through its payment processor (Stripe). There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
- Your vehicle capital — approximately £500. This money remains under the Customer's control at all times. It is notcollected by DRYVR and is intended to contribute towards the purchase of the Customer's first vehicle.
The £500 vehicle capital figure is a suggested starting point only. Depending on market conditions and the vehicle chosen, the Customer may require more capital.
4. Third-party and additional costs
The DRYVR fee covers the Service only. Auction fees, buyer's premiums, transport, storage, insurance, vehicle tax, registration costs, mechanical work, parts, detailing, advertising and other selling costs are the Customer's responsibility and are separate from the DRYVR fee unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.
5. Service period
The Service supports the Customer through their first vehicle transaction. The expected service window and any time limits are set out in the onboarding materials. DRYVR will make reasonable efforts to provide timely support but does not guarantee specific timelines.
6. Customer responsibilities and final decisions
The Customer makes all final decisions regarding which vehicle to buy, the price to pay, preparation work undertaken, and the sale. DRYVR provides guidance and access; it does not guarantee the availability of any specific vehicle or auction lot, and does not bid, buy or sell on the Customer's behalf.
The Customer must comply with the rules, terms and eligibility requirements of any third-party auction provider or platform. DRYVR does not provide, share or transfer another party's account credentials or login details.
7. No guarantee of profit or outcome
Vehicle trading carries financial and operational risk. DRYVR does not guarantee that the Customer will make a profit, that £500 will be sufficient to purchase a suitable vehicle, or that any transaction will complete. Please read our Risk Disclosure.
8. Cancellation and refunds
Your statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and how they apply to the Service, are set out in our Cancellation and Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law. Subject to that, DRYVR's total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount of the DRYVR fee paid. DRYVR is not liable for losses arising from the Customer's vehicle purchase, preparation or sale decisions.
DRAFT FOR REVIEW: The liability, indemnity and exclusion provisions must be tailored and confirmed by a qualified UK solicitor.
10. Data protection
DRYVR processes personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. See our Privacy Policy for details of what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
